Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan & Park Master Plan

Parks-Recreation & Bicycle-Pedestrian Survey

Hapeville Seeks Input

Please attend the upcoming community meeting: Monday, May 14th 3 pm to 7 pm, 599 N. Central Avenue in Hapeville .What type of recreational activities do residents enjoy? Are those activities currently available? What pedestrian and cyclist activities? The City of Hapeville has launched an online survey to help answer these questions. Log on to the Parks-Recreation & Bicycle-Pedestrian Survey to complete the online survey. It will take you just a few minutes and is a great way to be sure your voice is heard.

The City will use the survey, to develop two City-wide plans: a Parks Master Plan and a Bicycle-Pedestrian Plan. The plans will assess existing conditions, as well as trends, issues, and needs. Recommendations could include improvements to existing parks and facilities, the creation of new sites and facilities, and the addition of new programs and goals to address the needs of visitors and residents, pedestrians and cyclists. A summary of all applicable federal, state, regional and local funding mechanisms will accompany the project recommendations.

In addition to the online survey, you may also provide input via a paper version of the survey available at the Hapeville Hoyt-Smith Center, 3444 N. Fulton Avenue or at Hapeville City Hall, 3468 N. Fulton Avenue.

Public input will also be sought at an upcoming Parks-Recreation & Bicycle-Pedestrian Open-House Community Charrette. This Open-House/Charrette style meeting will provide an opportunity for open discussion.
