Public Comments on Agenda Items
The public is encouraged to communicate their questions, concerns, and suggestions during Public Comments.  The Council does listen to your concerns and will have Staff follow-up on any questions you raise.  Any and all comments should be addressed to the Governing Body, not to the general public and delivered in a civil manner in keeping with common courtesy and decorum.
Informal Discussion of Agenda Items
New Business
Discussion of Forensic Audit

Per Council's request on February 21, 2017, City staff has reached out to the Insurance carrier to determine what the cost of a Forensic Audit will be and if the cost of a Forensic Audit would be covered? I will be sending you this material when it is ready, most likely on Tuesday- March 7th. In addition, I have also met with the City Auditor as well and the City Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) should be ready by Tuesday, March 21, 2017. The Auditor (Ms. Black) has agreed to be available that evening to brief the Council on her findings and the financial status of the City.

Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

City Manager Report

Public involvement and citizen engagement is welcome as Hapeville operates a very open, accessible and transparent government. We do however remind our attendees/residents that there are times allocated for public comments on the agenda. In order for council to conduct their necessary business at each meeting, we respectfully ask that side-bar conversations and comments be reserved for the appropriate time during the meeting. This will allow the City Council to conduct the business at hand and afford our meeting attendees ample time for comments at the appropriate time during the meeting.
