Academy Theatre proudly presents Tapas II: Steady As She Goes. This is a play festival comprised of a collection of ten minute short plays based on the prompt of 'Steady As She Goes', and nearly all are premieres! We're featuring some of Georgia's great creative talents for the festival, including: Mort Salvitore, Fracena Byrd, Chris Jones, Rob Raissle,
Lynna Schmidt, Paige Steadman Ross, Greta M. Glenn, Retta Bodhaine, Zachary Tyler Roe,
Ivan Segovia, Kay Duncan Bohan, Victoria Wilson, Anjil Jeter, and Stage manager: Stage manager: Becca Schibler.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door

The City of Hapeville, owner of The Hapeville Performing Arts Center, located at 599 and 597 N. Central Avenue, purchased the downtown buildings as part of its Economic Development efforts. As part of its downtown revitalization efforts, the City leased the Hapeville Performing Arts Center to the Academy Theatre. The current space at 599 N. Central Avenue has been transformed into a temporary theatre with seating for approximately 70.

Theatre Things to Know: Founded in 1956 by Frank Wittow, a 25 year old Army Veteran, the Academy Theatre is longest running professional theatre in Georgia. They now call Hapeville home! The City and Hapeville is proud to support programming for the Academy Theatre at the Hapeville Performing Arts Center and the Hapeville Depot!
