Today, Hapeville Police Detective Cushing obtained an arrest warrant for a man named Keenen Marquez Goggins for Armed Robbery at Wendy’s Restaurant on North Central Ave. Keenen, a Conley Road resident, came into the store last week wearing a hooded sweatshirt, tan cargo shorts, brandishing a long barrel revolver and demanding the money from the cash registers. After collecting the cash, Goggins ran to a grey vehicle and fled the area toward Arnold Street.
Immediately, following the incident, Detective Cushing gathered video evidence and victim statements and added the information to a law enforcement network website called Metro Tech. Minutes after the incident occurred, a Clayton County Police Officer spotted our suspect in the gray car and was able to apprehend him. Goggins was still in the clothes he was wearing from the robbery and had possession of the long barrel gun and the ski mask used in the incident. Goggins is now in custody and is awaiting trial.
