1. How can I view the Facility?

Please contact the Recreation Department at 404-669-2132 to schedule a tour. Normal appointment times are Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The facility is located in the Jess Lucas Park in downtown Hapeville.

2. Are discounts offered for non-profit organizations?

Yes, civic and non-profit organizations will receive a 20% discount on the rental cost. Visit the Availability and Rental Fee page for more details.

3. How do I reserve the Christ Church & Carriage House for an upcoming event?

Contact the Recreation Department at 404-669-2132 to get more information.

4. Is the security deposit refundable?

Deposits are refunded in part or whole upon inspection of the Facility at the conclusion of the event. The deposit may be used to cover charges for additional clean-up, exceeding the scheduled time, damage to the facility or equipment and cancellations. Deposit refunds are issued by check from the City of Hapeville and delivered via mail within 30 days after the event.

5. When are reservations accepted?

Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis at least thirty (30) days in advance of the requested event date. Reservations less than thirty (30) days will be based on staff availability and payment is due at time of reservation. Call the Recreation Department at 404-669-2132 for more details.

6. What are the rental hours?

The Facility may be reserved during the following time periods:

Monday through Thursday (8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.)
Friday and Saturday (8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.)

The Facility cannot be rented past the 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. end times and is not available for rental on Sundays, Federal/City observed Holidays and days when used for City events.

7. What forms of payment are accepted?

Acceptable forms of payment include cash, personal check and money order. Check or money order should be made payable to the City of Hapeville.

8. When is the balance due for my event?

Balance must be paid in full thirty (30) business days prior to the scheduled rental date.

9. What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation requests must be made in writing by the applicant. Based on the date the cancellation request is received, all or part of the security deposit and/or fees will be forfeited. Please see the Historic Christ Church & Carriage House Use Policy for more details.

10. What happens if my event runs later than scheduled?

Usage beyond and/or requiring a City Staff member to remain on the property past the departure time will result in additional fees based on additional hourly rental rate.

11. Where is the Christ Church & Carriage House located?

The Christ Church & Carriage House is located at 680 S. Central Avenue, Hapeville, GA 30354 in Jess Lucas Y-Teen Park. (The driveway to the park is located off of Atlanta Avenue, between S. Central Avenue and Doug Davis Drive, by the Wells Fargo entryway, continue to the back of the lot where the Christ Church & Carriage House are located.) Get Directions

12. Can I reserve a City Park?

The City of Hapeville Parks are public spaces and are open for public use on a first come first serve basis. We do not rent the green space. Certain municipal facilities are available for rental.
