As a resident of the City of Hapeville all homeowners who have been approved by the Fulton County Homestead exemption program can qualify for one of the following three City of Hapeville exemptions (Age, Veteran or Disabled). 

The City of Hapeville exemptions are not automatically applied; therefore, residents are required to submit an application with supporting documentation by the city's June 30th deadline each calendar year.

The City of Hapeville exemptions will not take effect until the application has been reviewed for approval/denial by the Property Tax department. The homeowner will receive a letter of acceptance. 

The $20,000 exemption is automatically renewed yearly only if the homeowner of the exemption is continuously occupying the residence without any changes to ownership.  The exemption will officially show and reflect on the newest Property Tax bill if approved.
