2017 Special Events Calendar Highlights

Spring into Action Baseball Opening Day: On April 8th, come enjoy Baseball Opening Day Ceremonies. The activities begina at 8 a.m. with a 5K Run/Walk sponsored by the Hapeville Exchange Club. Tennis tournment registration begins at 9:30 a.m. sponsored by the Atlanta Guide Magazine. Our Community Parade begins at 11am  and Baseball opening games and ceremonies will take place by the baseball fields off Claire Drive from 12 p.m. –5 p.m. 

Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 15th from 9AM to 11AM at the Tom E. Morris Sports Complex. 

Memorial Day Service on Monday May 29, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Hoyt Smith Center. 

Movies Under the Stars!: Join us for this family friendly outdoor movie night series!  The movies are shown on the third Fridays of  June and July and will take place at the Hoyt Smith Center/Football Fields.  At each movie night event there will be concessions, DJ fun and a moon-walk until the movies start at dusk!  

ChalkArt Festival Saturday June 17th 10 am-6 pm and Sunday June 18th 12pm-5pm. 

Father Daughter Dance Saturday June 17th from 5 PM-7 PM at the Hoyt Smith Center. Tickets for Fathers are $10 each and daughters are Free! 

Downtown Live Concert Series!
Downtown Hapeville comes alive from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Jess Lucas Y-teen Park. This series features live music from local bands and a variety of food vendors. Hapeville Happy Days Weekend featuring LocalMotion Festival: Saturday, September, 16th Please join us  at Jess Lucas Y-teen Park  for our first annual LocalMotion Festival "a premier artist destination." While new in theory, the festival has roots from the Historic College Park Arts Festival with 16 years experience under our belts. The LocalMotion Festival has room for hand-crafted works from over 130 artists and will feature performing art performances and seminars, local craft beers on tap, wine, live music, kids games, local community vendors & plenty of great food. It will be fun for all ages. Free admission and parking. 

Southern Circuit Film Series: February 23, March 23, and April 13. The 2018 Spring Series Screenings will continue on Friday evenings at the Historic Christ Church & Carriage House starting with a Reception with the Filmmaker at 6 p.m. and the Film Screening at 7 p.m. followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker. Hapeville Trunk or Treat Tuesday Oct. 31st. Trunk or Treat begins at 6:00 pm sharp at Master Park, Hapeville.

Holidays in Hapeville: Tuesday, November 21st!  Please join us at Jess Lucas Y-teen Park for our traditional Mayoral Tree Lighting Event! Free admission and parking.
